Someone on facebook started a writing pledge again. Starting tomorrow, I will be attempting to write 500 words a day. Considering all the homework I have coming up and the monster “Say ‘No’ to Zombies” has become, I think this one will be fairly easy.
Anyone else in for a pledge?
What happens when a person with some common sense wakes up to a “zombie apocalypse”? Shit gets done, that’s what.
Spoiler: the dog doesn’t die.

–Edited to fix formatting issue.–
If you’re reading this, either we’ve all survived or you found this in a room scattered with dead bodies, and I am among them.
If I’m not, you know, sneaking up behind you right now. I don’t know how this crap started or how it spreads, so it’s entirely possible that I am not fully dead, in which case…oops?

Well, let’s see here. In the past couple days, I’ve:
- Set up a new writing nook for myself (I had no writing place set aside where I live, and being on my computer provides way too many distractions).
- Started a new story (wtf, why am I writing about zombies?!).
- Got a crap load of work done on chapter 3 of When Love Dies.
I think it might actually be time to take a little break. Probably won’t happen. I’m a little too excited about having a writing space set up, but it’s a thought.
Sorry guys! Got caught up working on chapter 3 and lost track of time. Here is part 2!
“I’ve gone over every paper the hospital sent home with me, wikipedia, the Mayo Clinic website and every other site I could find. None of them know for sure what causes leukemia,” Patience greeted me. “I even went to the hospital and talked with the doctors there, just to double check. We have nothing, My Lord.”

The update is mainly that the individual books are finally getting names – which is frankly ridiculous, since the sequel/spin-off book series already has names for all the books involved. I even have names for potential ‘When Love Dies’ sequels. My brain is weird, that’s all I can think.
In the meantime, here is the prologue for Etlan – Book 1: Storm Warning.

Okay, so, I had planned on updating ‘When Love Dies’ this weekend, but I discovered a few features of wordpress that I hadn’t noticed before, so now I have some organizing and rearranging to do.
In the meantime, please enjoy the short story I wrote for my Creative Writing course and be sure to let me know what you think.
“The Witch’s Café”
Based on this writing prompt:
“I’m sick of magical worlds with no technology. I want fairy run coffee shops where you can get a latte with a shot of charisma, because you’ve got a big presentation you’re worried about, or witches working at Apple selling phones that automatically appear in your pocket if you accidentally leave it somewhere, or psychics running hair salons who always know how you want your hair to look, or aura reader therapists. I just really want normalized magic in modern society.”
Feedback is always welcome.
